Gitanjali group called this new collection as the 'Wimbledon Jewellery', which includes a diamond studded tennis ball, which will be presented to winner of the men's Wimbledon champion of 2007--Roger Federer.
Indian outfit Gitanjali Gems secured three-year license to promote and market jewelry under the Wimbledon brand. To begin their efforts, the company presented a diamond-encrusted 24-carat-gold tennis ball to Roger Federer which was unveiled by Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta. The ball’s valued at Rs 35 lakhs (approx. $90,000).
The marketing rights for this special jewellery line dedicated to the Wimbledon series, which will include premium quality bracelets and pendants, have been extended to Jewellery Marketing Company (New York), Gitanjali Retail (Middle East), DIGICO (China) and Gitanjali Gems (India).
The Wimbledon Collection starts at a range of Rs 8000 and will be available at all retail outlets of the Group.via
